April 2011 Trip to Carmen

My prayers have been answered, Ron is not scared of airplanes anymore and our ride back and forth is quite breezy. Ron in fact enjoyed the airplane ride I think partly because I allowed him to eat junk food. he he. I thought if I let him eat junk food while on the plane, it would lessen his fright. Turned out, there is no more need for that.

Our short trip to Carmen is for the purpose of seeing Den2 and her family. I ponder at first if we will push through taking into account some factors. Since it was just me and Ron, I was quite apprehensive that I wouldn't be able to handle Ron alone but it turned out ok.

So, on April 2, Saturday, we left home, Daddy brought us to the airport and was able to get inside up until the check in counters. Then we have to leave Dada as we enter the pre departure area. When we get there, we saw Ching and her Shane. After a few minutes, it was boarding already. Ron surprisingly seemed to enjoy the ride. When we get to Butuan, there was Nanay waiting for us. We took the San Frans route coz the road via Surigao nubenta is terrible. We arrived at Carmen around 4:30pm. Tatay was there of course. After resting, Ron and I went to the plaza.

The following day, we went to Habag and what a pleasant surprise, Mano Caping and his family were there too. Ron does not want to leave Habag since he was enjoying the beach so much. He almost cried when we asked him to leave na, good thing there was this boy about 11 years old who told Ron he can always go back.

Around 5pm, Den2 and family arrived from Surigao City and we had dinner. Ron was overwhelmed with the number of family members who greeted him that he cried and hide at my back. But after taking him out for a while, he calmed down but continued to stay with me. Ron got a remote control mini cooper from Janine.

The following day we went to Ilaja at Mana Haide's so Ron can ride the carabao. After, we went to the palengke.

The next day, we went to Munisipyo, Dada's grandma, CCES. Mana Daday gave Ron Ram-ram's old toys.

The following day, April 6, was our flight back. We took the Surigao route and indeed the road was terrible. When we get to Butuan, we stopped by at Dottie's Place hotel where Auntie and Uncle were staying. Ron wanted to stay inside the CR while I was trying to "deposit" ha ha.

Ron slept after take off but I woke him up upon de-planing. Bimboy fetched us. Late in the evening, Dada arrived from Baguio.

The whole Carmen trip, if there was one thing very notieceable is that Ron does not want me out of is sight even for a second, to the point that even if I go to the CR, he wants to go with me. But thank God for this trip. It may be short but its worth it and very memorable.
